Two Belarusians Join World’s 24 Top Programmers List
Two Belarusians are included in the list of the world’s 24 strongest programmers according to TopCoder Open. From November 10 to November 14, 2013, Alexei Ropan, student of Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, and Gennady Korotkevitch, student of Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, will participate in the onsite finals of TopCoder Open in Washington, DC, USA.
TopCoder Open is a worldwide programming and designing tournament with six competition tracks. The Algorithm Competition is a timed contest where all contestants compete online and are given the same problems to solve under the same time constraints. The competition is available in four programming languages: Java, C#, C++, and VB.NET.
The top 24 competitors won an all-expense paid trip to Washington to compete for $300,000 cash prize at the 2013 TopCoder Open finals.
