Quarterfinal of ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest
From October 25 to October 27, a quarterfinal of the ACM International
Collegiate Programming Contest among university students of the Western Region
(Belarus and Baltic States) was held in Minsk. Among 47 teams that participated
in the event, 27 teams were Belarusian and the rest of the competitors were from
Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation.
The tournament was conducted in line with the plan of the Association for
Computing Machinery, according to which the participants were doing algorithm
and program designing using high-level languages.
Four teams from Belarus, including teams from Minsk and Gomel will take part
in the semifinal of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest in
Saint-Petersburg next month.
